Day 1: Banff & Lakes Acclimatization
- Morning: Drive Calgary to Banff. Take the Banff Gondola for an overview.
- Afternoon: Walk the shoreline of Lake Louise. Rent a canoe if budget permits.
- Evening: Dinner at The Station Restaurant (Lake Louise) or in Banff Town.
- Stay: Lake Louise or Banff.
Day 2: The Icefields Parkway (Northbound)
- 08:00: Depart North on Hwy 93. Stop at Bow Lake and Peyto Lake Viewpoint.
- 12:00: Arrive at Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre.
- 13:00: Ice Explorer Tour (Glacier Walk) & Skywalk.
- 16:00: Stop at Sunwapta Falls and Athabasca Falls.
- 18:30: Arrive in Jasper Town. Check in and dinner.
Day 3: Jasper's Wild Beauty
- Morning: Maligne Lake Cruise to Spirit Island (Book in advance).
- Lunch: Picnic at Maligne Lake or Medicine Lake.
- Afternoon: Hike Maligne Canyon ( Bridges 1-3 loop is most popular).
- Evening: Soak in Miette Hot Springs (farthest drive) or relax at Pyramid Lake.
- Tip: Watch for Bighorn Sheep on the road to Miette.
Day 4: Return Journey & Hidden Gems
- Morning: Drive South back towards Banff. The view is different going the other way!
- Stop: Mistaya Canyon - a short but powerful hike.
- Lunch: Saskatchewan River Crossing (only food option on the highway).
- Afternoon: Drive part of the Bow Valley Parkway (Hwy 1A) to Johnston Canyon.
- Night: Farewell dinner in Banff.
Day 5: K-Country & Departure
- Morning: Breakfast in Canmore. Visit the Three Sisters Viewpoint.
- Lunch: Canmore or Kananaskis Nordic Spa (optional relaxation).
- Afternoon: Shopping at CrossIron Mills Outlet near the airport.
- Evening: Flight home from YYC.
